The ultimate human mobility ‘cheat code’ has emerged at IFA.

Unbelievable—I truly didn’t expect it! This year at IFA, what held my attention for a solid 30 minutes wasn’t a robot—it was this pair of “legs”!


These “legs” even come equipped with their own set of eyes to help me navigate.


This pair of legs is the IRMO M1 from Hangmo—the world’s first consumer-grade vision-perception AI exoskeleton, designed for hiking, trekking, and navigating stairs or ramps.



I tried it on just now and found the M1 remarkably lightweight overall—and it moves in perfect sync with my knee joints.


There’s no strong sensation of being dragged along,


and although I’m walking under my own power, each step feels as if someone is gently pushing me forward.


This effect is especially noticeable when descending stairs, where the knee joint experiences significantly enhanced cushioning and protection.


That’s thanks to its core technology: the Flexmo intelligent biomimetic joint module, which dynamically adjusts joint stiffness based on real-time load conditions.


It delivers assistance precisely when needed—and actively yields to absorb impact when encountering shocks.

In previous exoskeletons I’ve tested, assistance during flat-ground walking often felt uncomfortable.


Manual adjustments and voice controls delivered poor user experiences.


With the enhanced IRMO M1, whether I’m walking on level ground, climbing stairs, or traversing inclines, the system automatically identifies terrain type and dynamically optimizes assistance strategies in real time—making movement feel completely natural and adaptive.


Truly unexpected—so much thoughtful engineering goes into these “legs.” It’s clear Hangmo is truly leading the field in soft embodied technologies.


No wonder the M1 raised over $1.1 million USD in overseas crowdfunding—its technical prowess and product advantages speak for themselves.
