
September 8 marked the final day of IFA 2026 in Berlin, Germany. As one of the world’s top three consumer electronics trade shows, this year’s IFA—open since September 4—has drawn over 1,900 exhibitors from 49 countries and regions, with an estimated 220,000+ global attendees. At this year’s IFA, Magic Atom showcased three robotic hardware platforms alongside its proprietary, general-purpose embodied large language model—drawing sustained attention from international visitors.

This year marks Magic Atom’s second consecutive appearance at IFA, where it unveiled three new robotic hardware platforms: the flagship high-dynamic, full-size humanoid robot MagicBot X1; the industrial-grade wheeled humanoid robot MagicBot D1; and the industrial-grade lightweight quadruped robot MagicDog T1.
MagicBot X1 is designed to push the physical limits of robotic platforms. Its chassis features aerospace-grade aluminum and titanium alloys; its knee joints deliver a peak torque ≥350 N·m and a maximum torque of 450 N·m. It also employs a dual-battery hot-swap design, enabling continuous 7×24-hour operation. On-site, Magic Atom screened a real-time video of MagicBot X1 performing a stepping dunk—a visually impressive demonstration. MagicBot D1 serves as Magic Atom’s primary mass-production platform. With an operational height range of 80–230 cm, it leverages a highly maneuverable omnidirectional base and biomimetic waist-and-leg structure to perform material handling tasks at both high and low elevations.

A Magic Atom on-site representative told LeiTech that MagicBot D1 supports autonomous end-effector switching between grippers and dexterous hands. During precision operations, it can autonomously and rapidly switch to its dexterous hand; when performing force-intensive tasks such as tool handling or object grasping, it can just as swiftly switch to its gripper.

MagicDog T1 features a lightweight 19 kg body and a sustained payload capacity of up to 15 kg—ideal for deployment across factories, industrial parks, and power-line inspection scenarios.
For robots, intelligence may matter more than dexterous hands or grippers. Magic Atom’s Magic-VLA K02 embodied intelligence large model—making its overseas debut at IFA—adopts a hierarchical, dual-system collaborative architecture and claims a 92% overall accuracy rate on complex, long-horizon tasks.
On-site, Magic Atom demonstrated a robotic arm powered by Magic-VLA K02 autonomously folding clothes. According to Magic Atom staff, folding irregularly shaped garments is far more challenging than it appears: clothing is a deformable object, making perception and manipulation inherently difficult. Each time a garment is handed to the robot, its configuration differs—so the large model must dynamically determine optimal grasp and placement points. Moreover, if the folding process is interrupted, the robot does not halt—it instead replans and resumes folding. This ability to re-plan and recover after random interruptions signifies Magic Atom’s transition from “predefined scripts” to “autonomous decision-making.”

Regarding generalization capability, Magic Atom staff revealed that the robot was initially trained to fold T-shirts, then autonomously learned to fold polo shirts—and will soon master folding blankets.
In terms of practical, scenario-driven deployment, Magic Atom staff stated that its products focus on two core application domains: home and industrial use. On the industrial side, Magic Atom primarily serves B2B clients—for example, flexible material handling and logistics order sorting. Magic Atom views labor shortages across Europe as a key commercial opportunity for robotics. To date, Magic Atom has signed over 50 overseas distributors and established deep partnerships with leading industrial automation integrators in Germany, Italy, Spain, and other countries—completing pre-sales and after-sales team deployments.

Additionally, Magic Atom appeared at the AliExpress booth as one of the first signatories of AliExpress’ “Brand+” Super Brand Global Expansion Program. Leveraging AliExpress’ global e-commerce network and overseas managed services model, Magic Atom’s sales footprint and retail distribution channels are set for significant expansion. As Alibaba Group’s cross-border e-commerce retail platform, AliExpress offers channel capabilities unmatched by robotics firms—accelerating Magic Atom’s market entry and adoption.
The robotics industry is maturing rapidly. Companies’ strategic focus is shifting—from enhancing robotic capabilities to boosting revenue generation. Collaborations with AliExpress and European industrial automation integrators represent a critical step for Magic Atom toward revenue growth.
Multiple robotics firms have indicated that Europe is a priority market due to its acute labor shortages—creating strong demand for robots to replace human workers in manufacturing environments. China holds clear advantages in the embodied AI sector, particularly in technology development, product innovation, and real-world application experience.
