September 8 marked the final day of IFA 2026, the world-renowned consumer electronics exhibition held in Berlin, Germany. As one of the globe’s three premier consumer electronics trade shows, this year’s IFA—open since September 4—has drawn over 1,900 exhibitors from 49 countries and regions, with an estimated attendance of more than 220,000 visitors worldwide. LeiTech (ID: LeiTech) deployed its “LeiTech IFA 2026 Reporting Team” to Berlin for on-the-ground, immersive, and first-hand coverage.
Every time LeiTech visits Haier’s exhibition area, the most immediate impression is its sheer scale: Haier Smart Home has transformed its 3,500-square-meter booth into a fully integrated, multi-scenario experience zone encompassing refrigerators, kitchen appliances, small domestic appliances, TVs, and more.
Most notably, Haier’s refrigerator display—holding the title of “Global No. 1 for 18 consecutive years”—showcases several new models, including the Horizon series, Seeker multi-compartment precision storage refrigerators, Maestro Master Series, and AI ultra-energy-efficient refrigerators.
Among these, the most impressive innovation is the AI cell-level defrosting technology featured on the Maestro Master Series. Specifically, its AI-powered defrosting large model actively identifies the type, volume, shape, and weight of frozen food items—and then generates a customized defrosting curve accordingly.
A frozen steak can be restored to near-fresh condition in just five minutes, with virtually no blood leakage and retention of most nutrients.

Refrigerators are located within Haier’s kitchen appliance zone—a core strength for the company. This area features a wide array of new products incorporating cutting-edge technologies and remains a major focal point throughout the exhibition, amplified by on-site campaign activities.
On-site, we encountered the visually striking Haier ID Ultimate Series 6 oven—a premium product targeting intelligent cooking scenarios. A standout feature is its built-in smart camera, powered by Haier’s AI Eye technology. Beyond identifying ingredient types and quantities, it monitors food status during cooking and automatically adjusts parameters—an ideal solution for both novice cooks and those with exacting culinary standards.

The variety of small kitchen appliances is even broader: rice cookers, air fryers, high-speed blenders, and other products filled two-tier glass display cabinets.

Interestingly, the on-site kitchen setup also included a humanoid robot capable of food portioning and storage assistance.

The laundry appliance section likewise offered a broad selection. A simple way to categorize washing machines is by drum count—and on-site, we saw single-, dual-, triple-, and even quad-drum models. Haier’s quad-drum washing machine was awarded the “Best Innovative Home Appliance” at IFA 2026. Its four drums comprise a 10-kg washer, a 10-kg dryer, and two 1-kg washers. The most direct benefit is enhanced washing precision: bulky items like bedding or daily lightweight garments can be washed separately.

While many perceive Haier as the global leader in white goods, its black goods offerings are equally robust—TVs, in particular, have become a key pillar of Haier’s overseas expansion strategy. On-site, we observed RGB Mini LED TVs, a format that has surged in popularity over the past two years.
Compared to conventional Mini LED TVs, Haier’s RGB TVs integrate separate red, green, and blue light-emitting chips into a single LED package—replacing the traditional approach of monochrome LEDs paired with color filters. This architecture delivers significant improvements across multiple dimensions, including color purity, color gamut coverage, luminous lifespan, and energy efficiency.

Visiting the overseas TV section, we noted another strength: Haier’s strong localization strategy. Several compact-size TVs on display were co-developed with Amazon, Google, and select sports streaming platforms—tailored specifically to local content preferences. This enables Haier to seamlessly integrate into regional user ecosystems.

LeiTech observed that Haier’s IFA pavilion also features a sizable dedicated zone for cleaning appliances—including robotic vacuum cleaners, cordless vacuums, and floor scrubbers—all familiar to Chinese consumers. While many assume the smart cleaning space is dominated by brands like Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs (Tineco), and CloudWings, this is no longer the case. In recent years, major home appliance manufacturers—including Haier, Midea, Hisense, Xiaomi, and even Joyoung—have significantly ramped up investment and presence in this category. Notably, Hoover—the historic cleaning brand—is now a Haier subsidiary focused primarily on international markets; thus, most cleaning appliances showcased on-site fall under the Hoover brand.

Beside the cleaning appliance zone, we also spotted Haier’s W3 exoskeleton robot—displayed alongside a miniature staircase and a small patch of artificial turf.

In fact, LeiTech (ID: LeiTech) had previously experienced Haier’s exoskeleton firsthand at an offline store shortly after its domestic launch—as reported earlier. Its lightweight design and intelligent capabilities left a deep impression.

Notably, Haier segmented its exhibition space into multiple AI-driven scenarios. To unify such a vast array of products, Haier leveraged its comprehensive AI ecosystem. Today, its SmartHQ platform serves over 5 million active users and connects more than 21 million devices, while Haier’s global smart home registered user base exceeds 130 million.
Haier’s vision for AI-enabled appliances extends beyond isolated AI features on individual devices—it aims to achieve full AI integration across entire living scenarios. For instance, Haier has defined “Smart Living Room,” “Smart Laundry & Care,” and “Smart Dining” experiences. In the living room scenario, AI-powered central coordination links devices such as TVs, smart speakers, air purifiers, and motorized curtains. As future AI agents embedded in appliances grow increasingly capable, these scenarios will become progressively smarter and more autonomous.
After touring Haier’s expansive IFA exhibition, one cannot help but wonder: Is there any home appliance you *can’t* buy from Haier? The global white-goods champion is actively evolving into the global home-appliance leader. Amid the AI wave, companies like Haier—with their strengths in end-to-end product portfolios—are uniquely positioned to maintain leadership in AI-powered and agent-enabled appliances. For Haier, the “smart home scenario” is no longer aspirational—it’s already reality. And the name “Haier Smart Home” has never been more fitting.
From September 4–8, the world’s largest home appliance and consumer electronics exhibition—IFA 2026—took place in Berlin.
