
September 4 marks the official opening of IFA 2026 in Berlin, Germany. As one of the world’s three major consumer‑electronics trade shows, this year’s IFA draws over 1,900 exhibitors from 49 countries and regions under the official theme “The Future is Now.”
The Leitech IFA 26 reporting team has arrived on‑site in Berlin to deliver immersive, multi‑dimensional and first‑hand coverage of IFA 2026.
Hisense has once again secured a substantial footprint within Hall 23 at IFA. Its booth hosts a comprehensive product portfolio spanning TVs, projectors, monitors, refrigerators, washing machines, air‑conditioners and more. Despite the wide product lineup, two clear threads run throughout the exhibition space: display technology and artificial intelligence.
RGB‑Mini LED remains one of the centrepieces at Hisense’s booth, represented by a complete product portfolio including the 116‑inch UX 2026, UR9S and UR8S. The flagship UX 2026 adopts the next‑generation RGB‑Mini LED technology, upgraded from the previous RGB three‑colour backlight to the Linglong 4‑Core True‑Colour Backlight.

However, these products have already been rolling out throughout this year. At IFA, the more compelling story lies in Hisense’s continuous expansion along the RGB route and its other new display technologies.
The show floor features the world’s first 3A Original‑Colour RGB‑Mini LED monitor, the 32UX — the 3A Original‑Colour RGB‑Mini LED monitor previously announced. It also utilises RGB backlighting, and brings Hisense’s Xinxin AI picture‑processing chip H7 down from TV to monitor, with officially rated coverage of 100 % of the BT.2020 colour gamut and 108‑bit colour control accuracy.
On the other front, Hisense extends its four‑colour philosophy to Micro LED, adding a fourth emitting colour on top of the traditional RGB to further broaden the reachable colour space.

The biggest surprise comes from Hisense’s world‑first RGB field‑sequential‑color display unveiled at IFA. This technology shifts RGB light sources into the time dimension: colour images are generated by high‑speed switching between red, green and blue light. It bypasses light loss caused by colour filters, striking a fine balance between vibrant colour reproduction and low‑power consumption. Compared with mass‑produced RGB‑Mini LED, it represents more of Hisense’s early bet on the next‑generation LCD roadmap.
Hisense also brought the world’s first 3D stereoscopic Micro‑LED display to Berlin. Powered by 26 TOPS of on‑device computing power, it converts any 2D content into 3D. Viewers can perceive distinct spatial depth with glasses on. Naturally, the 3D function can be globally disabled, delivering premium‑grade Micro‑LED performance for ordinary 2D content.
Micro‑LED already boasts inherent strengths including high brightness, high contrast and modular splicing capabilities. With added 3D functionality, Hisense’s demonstration goes far beyond simply “making TVs bigger”. It redefines how people consume large‑screen content.
Meanwhile, AI permeates nearly every corner of Hisense’s booth.
This statement may sound less novel. Over the past two years, at CES, IFA and domestic home‑appliance expos, AI‑enabled refrigerators, washing machines and air‑conditioners have become standard show‑floor fixtures. Yet many so‑called AI home appliances offer little more than “an extra control method” in real‑world use.
Hisense aims to push the boundary further. It launched the AI Companion Suite at this year’s IFA, covering three core scenarios: kitchen, laundry care, and air‑quality & energy management. It runs on the underlying V AIOS system, described by Hisense as the next‑generation evolution of VIDAA OS. Its capabilities are summed up in four keywords:
Sense, Think, Communicate, Execute.
Take the kitchen as an example. The AI‑enabled refrigerator identifies incoming and outgoing ingredients, recommends recipes based on available groceries and dietary requirements, and syncs relevant data to the oven. The oven dynamically adjusts cooking parameters via food probes and AI algorithms, while the wine cabinet offers wine‑pairing suggestions and decanting reminders.
Devices that once operated independently now work together to solve one simple question: “What are we having for dinner tonight?”

The same logic applies to laundry. Hisense’s AI‑powered laundry care system recognises fabric types and other garment information, then automatically selects appropriate washing and drying cycles. In the past, even with smart washing machines, users still had to manually pick modes such as cotton‑linen, wool or mixed‑fabric washes on‑screen.
This marks a notable shift for home‑appliance AI at this year’s IFA. With the rise of AI Agents, the whole industry is exploring a shared question: once devices understand what is going on, can they get tasks done autonomously?
Hisense’s solution leverages V AIOS for perception and coordination, ConnectLife to interconnect household appliances, and the AI Companion Suite to translate those capabilities into real‑world scenarios including the kitchen, laundry care, air‑quality control and energy management. Following this roadmap, TVs, refrigerators, air‑conditioners and other appliances will gradually evolve into the “hands and feet” of the household‑wide AI system.
