Berlin Time, September 5, 2026.

Two days before the official opening of IFA Berlin 2026, major home‑appliance manufacturers have rolled out a flurry of new‑product launches. The Lei Technology IFA 26 reporting team has arrived on‑site in Berlin to deliver on‑the‑ground, multi‑dimensional and first‑hand coverage of this year’s IFA.

NiteLao, a leading smart outdoor yard‑tech enterprise, made a high‑profile appearance with its refreshed full lineup of residential yard products under DREAME, MOVA and NexLawn, its self‑developed 3rd‑generation digital LiDAR, as well as flagship offerings for the commercial segment. The Lei Technology IFA reporting team was invited for an on‑site show tour.

Among the multiple highlight new products showcased at the booth, the DREAME A4 AWD PRO stood out most to the Lei Technology team.

Equipped with the OmniSense 4.0 fused AI perception system, this unit integrates 360° 3D LiDAR, AI binocular vision and Omni RTK centimeter‑level positioning, supporting a maximum continuous lawn coverage of 5,000 ㎡.

Furthermore, it houses a self‑developed AI intelligent decision‑making core and the EdgeMaster™4.0 AI edge‑trimming system. It can handle slopes up to 42 degrees (90% gradient), surmount 7 cm obstacles and cross 10 cm deep pits. It even delivers 0‑cm edge‑to‑edge mowing performance.

When we reviewed lawn‑mowing robots at IFA last year, we pointed out one of the biggest pain points of such devices: users still need to manually touch‑up grass along walls after robot mowing. Having bought an automated robot yet still needing to finish the job manually leaves much to be desired in terms of full automation.

NiteLao is clearly aiming to fix this pain point this time around.

Over on another booth area, the MOVA AstraX goes well beyond the scope of conventional lawn mowers. Fitted with an in‑house‑developed 96‑line 3D LiDAR and a swappable robotic arm, it can perform tasks beyond mowing, including yard debris removal, fruit picking and targeted spot watering.

As for its practical functions, on‑site staff commented: “We designed it to grip objects. If there is something blocking its path, it can pick and remove the obstacle. It can also connect to a water hose for watering, play with balls and interact with pets, harvest low‑hanging fruits, and even perform edge trimming work. Additionally, it can sweep fallen leaves and cut grass clippings into the grass‑collection bin.”

Admittedly these are relatively basic capabilities, yet products like this can hardly be defined merely as “lawn‑mowing robots” any longer.

If development continues along this trajectory, what you bring home in the future may well be a year‑round garden robot that tends to your yard, with grass‑cutting being only its most fundamental function.

What deserves extra attention is that NiteLao showcased its commercial‑grade lawn‑mowing robots at IFA for the very first time.

The brand‑new AURION F115 targets golf courses, sports fields, campuses and large‑scale parks. It supports lawn maintenance across up to 60,000 ㎡ (15 acres), equipped with a 60 cm triple‑disc cutting system and a 48 V power platform. Grass height can be adjusted in precise 1‑mm increments.

It also features NDVI lawn‑health monitoring to generate dynamic lawn‑health maps. When paired with the NexFleet intelligent multi‑robot coordination system, it can centrally manage more than 30 lawn‑mowing robots, automatically assigning routes and charging resources to greatly boost mowing‑operation efficiency.

For B‑end customers, the value of adopting intelligent lawn‑mowing robots is clear: drastic cuts to high labor costs, 24/7 silent round‑the‑clock operation, consistent lawn‑maintenance quality, and even enhanced technological appeal and brand image for venues.

This vast blue‑ocean commercial market is emerging as the next critical battlefield for manufacturers following the consumer segment.

NiteLao also officially unveiled its self‑developed MLR‑96 3rd‑generation digital LiDAR at this IFA. Capable of 150‑meter detection even under intense 100 kLux sunlight, this LiDAR operates reliably across‑40 °C to 60 °C, with its near‑field blind zone reduced to just 10 cm.

Beyond its own yard robots, it will also be applicable to diverse scenarios such as commercial cleaning robots and AGVs in the future, removing perception‑layer technical barriers for the large‑scale commercial deployment of general‑purpose intelligent robot fleets.

Looking back, at last year’s IFA the entire intelligent lawn‑mowing industry was still competing on positioning, obstacle avoidance and complex‑terrain performance. This year, development has shifted toward robotic arms, multi‑robot commercial coordination and in‑house‑built LiDAR.

Spanning residential yard robots, commercial maintenance equipment and core perception hardware, NiteLao clearly has no intention of remaining merely a “lawn‑mower vendor”. It keeps digging into underlying technologies to deliver smarter outdoor‑yard experiences for users, and propel the global outdoor‑yard industry into a brand‑new development era driven by cutting‑edge technologies.
